Fork & Theory was a deeply seasonal farm-to-table restaurant in Portland, Oregon that ran a constantly changing menu tied to what was available that week from twelve local farm partners. In six years, the concept earned a James Beard semifinalist nomination, a devoted Instagram following, and a reservation waitlist that stayed full for three years straight. The chef-owner suffered a serious kitchen injury in early 2024 and, after a long recovery, decided that rebuilding was not the right chapter. The brand carries enormous credibility and the farm relationships are warm and willing to continue with a new operator.
