The smash burger truck launched in Austin in 2022 during the peak of the food truck boom and immediately went viral on TikTok for its double-smash technique and retro branding. Lines wrapped around the block at every event booking. The founder got an offer they couldn't refuse from a private equity group to run a brick-and-mortar concept and had to walk away from the truck.
